Payroll Administrator – STÄNGD (Stängd)

Job Description:

  • Be the specialist in handling; salary, allowances and tax administration to ensure correct and efficient payroll processes
  • To ensure correct execution of laws, regulations and company policies related to processes related to payroll
  • Be the Tier 2 contact for Payroll related queries in the support process

Main tasks:

  • Process and submit periodic payroll
  • Administrate sick-leave reimbursements from the government if applicable
  • Year-end and statutory reporting on time if applicable
  • Process correct calculations and compliance according to garnishment requests
  • Issue and record adjustments to pay, due to incorrect transactions, late payments, off-cycle changes, salary revisions (both WC and BC)
  • Be updated on legal changes on tax, collective agreements and other issues that apply to the payroll process
  • Contact through defined channels with managers, employees and HR contacts to provide information on payroll matters and individual tax issues
  • Reconcile accounts related to the payroll process (i.e. tax, employer contribution, insurance) if applicable

Responsibilities:

  • Perform payroll administration, including control and reconciliation of payroll data in compliance with requirements according to laws, regulations, collective agreements and internal policies
  • Report/escalate deviations and non-compliance to next reporting level (team lead/manager)

Mandate:

  • Approve payroll for payments and postings

Qualifications:
Education: 

  • Have a senior high school education and/or completed other equivalent economic education
  • Post-secondary education within HR or personnel administration (diploma courses or university courses)

Experience:

  • Good knowledge in payroll process
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices
  • Good knowledge of collective agreements, local laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of taxable and non-taxable benefits
  • Knowledge of applicable social security contribution laws
  • Good HR process understanding
  • Good accounting knowledge
  • Good system knowledge and IT understanding
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in line with laws and policies.
  • Good written and oral communication
