Site Reliability Engineer – STÄNGD (Stängd)

Background:

As a Site Reliability Engineer  you will build, deploy and maintain Monitoring tools and supporting systems with automation in mind to reduce the amount of time and effort necessary for our Development Engineers to provide the best platform service for all our brands.

Tasks:

  • Building, upgrading and maintaining the Splunk infrastructure running (Indexers, Forwarders, Search Heads, License Server, Monitoring Console, etc.).
  • Capacity management and scaling of the Splunk infrastructure.
  • Provide Monitoring as a service (metrics, traces, logs) to be used by Development and Infrastructure teams.
  • Collaborate with data owners to advocate for best practices regarding logging ingestion.

Requierments:

  • In-depth knowledge of Splunk or The Elastic Stack.
  • A good working knowledge of at least one scripting language such as Python or Golang.
  • Experience with monitoring, metrics, tracing systems (Promethus, InfluxDB, Instana or similar).
  • In-depth knowledge of *NIX systems.
  • Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve problems.
  • DevOps / SRE mindset with strong interest for automation.
  • In-depth knowledge of automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
  • Version control systems (Git).
  • CD / CI (Jenkins, GitLab or similar).
  • Experience with Docker or similar container technologies.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as OpenStack, Amazon AWS or similar.
  • Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes or Nomad.
