The best place to work in the global automotive industry. Join us on this exciting journey into the future. We want to hear from You!

The future belongs to those who are empowered by a great idea and having the ability to carry it out. At Volvo Car Group our mission is clear: “To be the world’s most progressive and desired premium car company and to make people’s life less complicated”. People that want to make a difference and create the next generation Volvo cars in a global, dynamic, and respectful environment.

The Safe Vehicle Automation has been one of the fastest growing field of Volvo Car Group over the last decade thanks to rapid development of Active Safety systems. By continuously launching innovative and world-first Active Safety features, Volvo Cars has positioned itself among the leaders in the automotive industry. The department Vehicle Energy and Motion Control aim to control the vehicle in all six degrees of freedom by input from several sensor to control several actuators as propulsion, and chassis features.

The team Stability Functions is responsible for the development of functions and software within the area of vehicle dynamics and motion control. This area covers both normal driving control e.g. autonomous longitudinal- and lateral control, limit-handling stability control e.g. ESC control and vehicle state estimation e.g. longitudinal and lateral velocity. We develop software and functions both in-house and together with our suppliers. We are today about 20 persons working as software/function developers, function designers/owners and test/analysis engineers within the team.

As Software/Function Developer within Stability Functions, you will have a unique opportunity to apply a broad spectrum of vehicle dynamics, mechatronics, and programming. The field of Volvo in-house developed Stability Control includes e.g. Roll Stability Control, Advanced Stability Control, Regenerative Stability Control, Torque Vectoring etc. Stability Control is a vital part of the active safety and vehicle dynamics functionality in all Volvo cars.
