SQL Expert – STÄNGD (Stängd)

Background

Our client is launching a new microservice based platform supporting payments across a variety of payment methods. Various parts of our existing solutions will be migrated to the new platform. The migration will be done incrementally and hence we will have parallel systems supporting our customers over a period.

As the SQL expert you will be writing SQL queries for extracting data and write the data into an agreed format. You will spend time with the migration lead as well as system administrators to work out the best way to retrieve the data and transform it to the target to load. In your role you will be in tight dialogue with various teams to agree on data formats, prepare test data and run your scripts in the agreed order.

Testing of the migration will be done in phases as well as in different environments, from the lowest level where certain entities are migrated from source to target to the dress rehearsal where all steps are tested as if it were a production migration. You will be spending a lot of time analyzing, and comparing, outcome vs expected outcome.

As a consultant you will also help the team with general performance challenges where certain queries might need to be further optimized as well as process improvements and various optimizations.

Preferred programming language, for the scripts, is JavaScript or C#

Must have requirements

•  Good SQL skills (Stored procedures, complex join queries)
• C# or JavaScript for the data retrieval scripts (or similar)
• Structured testing
• Structured and organized
• Good cooperation skills
• Good documentation skills

Nice to have

• Technical background, understanding ERP setup and standard business flows
• Experience in data migration activities
• Experience in data modelling and entity mapping
• AWS or other cloud provider knowledge
• PowerShell knowledge
• Configuration management (working with different environments)
