Category Manager

Description 

– Responsible for creation of category plans: perform spend analysis, assess sourcing maturity, understand trends in the industry, Kraljic analysis, etc.; and along with stakeholders in the line organization and in procurement create a strategy for the spend category

– Ensure that the category plans are kept live and being updated, by regularly engaging with stakeholders and follow up on progress

– Actively contribute in in the execution of some initiatives, typically pre-studies, strategic sourcing initiatives, etc.

Requirements for the role include: 

– At least 3 years of experience in procurement

– Having worked with category management in at least two different organizations, to get a holistic view of what category management can comprise, and what good category management looks like

– Background as a management consultant is a big plus

– Strong skills in Excel and PPT

– Strong insights & knowledge from at least two separate spend categories

– Strong communicational skills

– Relevant higher degree from university or similar
