Cloud engineer – STÄNGD (Stängd)

The cloud engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining the solution architecture, leveraging Azure PaaS, and IaaS components while developing terraform infrastructure as code scripts. Additionally, the cloud engineer should aim to enhance CI/CD automation through Azure DevOps capabilities. Every operation should be built on top secure communication and networking and VWs and containers should be maintained in an updated, available state

Responsibility

Solution architecture

• Understand solution architecture in detail, enabling interactions and data flow and networking and secure communication between infrastructure components
• Implement solution architecture components and configurations through Terraform scripts, ensuring a consistent state in all of three environments: development, staging, and production
• Maintain a secure state among cloud-native components and networking interactions
• Understand and implement solution architecture design

Automation and DevOps

• Develop and maintain DevOps automation pipelines on each one of the data and software engineering components, enhancing DAP release lifecycle
• Keep infrastructure state, leveraging DevOps best practices and safeguard keys and accesses using Azure KeyVault
• Maintain Kubernetes clusters and container registries on all environments

Availability and security

• Supervise and maintain a secure state of ports, IPs, network security groups and interactions between infrastructure components, data sources and clients
• Ensure availability of infrastructure components, backup execution and recovery routines in case of failure
• Secure keys and accesses through Azure Bastion and proper RBAC policies in infrastructure components

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of high-level data engineering solutions and platforms architecture
• Excellent knowledge on Azure PaaS and IaaS offering
• Excellent knowledge of networking
• Excellent knowledge in Windows and Linux VMs
• Experience with Kubernetes and docker
• Experience with Terraform scripting for IaC solutions
• Experience in Azure DevOps pipelines and CI/CD automation
