Industrial Project Planner – Engineering and operations

What we want:
We are looking for a passionate Project Planner that can lead planning of an extensive industrial project. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves to bring clarity, support colleagues and teams, and who can determine and create the real added value of project planning in different levels. There will be a continuous need to balance and optimize activities to reach the most effective plan that will support us to reach our targets. You bring a mindset to support and add value, energy, and willingness to work with both the big picture and down to details.

What’s in it for you?
You will join the Business Office team of Volvo Car Kosice Project within Manufacturing at Volvo Cars. The project will deliver our new state-of-the-art electric car plant in Kosice, Slovakia. The project team is responsible of engineering, construction, building, installation and preparation of the complete operation to enable a perfect vehicle launch in 2026. The Volvo Car Kosice Project have highly set targets and a challenging time plan. You will be part of the journey as we deliver on our company’s vision of volume growth and taking one step further towards our ideal manufacturing & logistics set-up. The work location will be Kosice, Slovakia but initially you need to join the core-team in Gothenburg.

The Plan:
You will work with the complete cross functional project team to ensure valuable project planning. Together with the project core-team and related functions, vehicle programs and project teams you will define the different hierarchies of plans and how we handle the dependencies between them. You will own the master project plan and handle the project gateway process. You will also give support to team-leaders with their sub-area-plans. The tool selected for planning is Planisware.

What you will do:
As a project planner, you will create value by lead the work around an always updated master project plan where dependencies are identified, and cross functional project planning are documented. You will support all project areas with their detailed plans and define the dependencies and links in between. You will give guidance to priorities and short term plans with the overall masterplan as a base.
You will also continuously develop how we handle Industrial project planning with a cross functional team. You will improve the way-of-working by frequent intake of stakeholder(user) feedback and efficiency analysis.

Your skills:
You are experienced in large-scale, long lead time industrial project planning. You have deep knowledge and many years of experience in one or several planning tools. (For example: Planisware, MS Project and Primavera).
You have facilitated collaboration regarding planning between teams and management with lean and agile development methodologies. You are excellent at handling a vast number of details and bringing structure and clarity.

You can communicate in the English language both verbally and in writing.
