The Quality Data Analytics & Survey Team is a team of data analysts, data scientists and data engineers enthusiastic about enabling the power of data to actionable insights. We handle Quality data with the goal of linking our customer and vehicle insights to strategic planning, early detections, and daily processes. Our aim is to create insights, methods and tools, and support decision-making within the Quality Department and other key stakeholders with a high impact on Volvo Cars quality performance.

What you’ll do

We are now looking for a person who can take over the responsibility of an on-going project as the Project Manager. Volvo Cars is undergoing a significant Data and Analytics transformation. The project’s goal is to enable the business to make informed and data-driven decisions using a modern suite of BI tools and data solutions.

In the last 20+ years SAP-BO has been an important BI tool/data source across Volvo Cars when analyzing or sourcing data for quality assignments. From Jan 2025, this application will no longer be supported by SAP-BO and therefore Volvo Cars has decided to move all use cases of this to its
golden path, such as snowflake and power bi.

Project Phoenix started in January this year and has spent the first quarter with an idea phase where a
proof of value and technical feasibility study has been performed. We have now entered the build and productionise phase that will last up to Oct/Nov where we will go into a transition period and closing the current solution. Our current project manager/business analyst is leaving the project so we are looking for someone that can take over and continue to drive this project up to year-end where we have our hard deadline.

In this project we need to move fast, make bold decisions, and always keep to our main end goal in front of us which is that the current users will be able to do their jobs from January 1st. The current users are spread around the company under various organizations and with widespread on
competence of the new BI tools and data solutions. Therefore, we need to accommodate all personas in a manner that the project can deliver on with the resources at hand, which will put demands on the users to upskill.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all planned deliverables, identify, remove issues, and keep the speed on all deliverables.
• Be responsible for project cadence such as core team meeting, continuous risk reviews, steering committee meetings, etc.
• Work proactive with backlog development to ensure we keep the pace in the build phase and keep to our decided path (avoid scope creep if that is not aligned with project timing).
• Maintain all documentation needed.
• Work with change management and communication.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in project management as a project manager
• Proven experience of change management
• Excellent communication skills are required. English proficiency is a must.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate and manage complex stakeholder landscapes.
• IT knowledge, preferable with Data and Analytic tools

You need to appreciate the challenge of creating opportunities with solutions that are not perfect. We are not looking for someone that should evaluate and change the current new proposed solutions, we need someone that can support us in making the new solutions the best possible since we only have about 6 months to build and implement.
