SCCM and Vulnerability Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in the role of SCCM and Vulnerability Management Specialist. This position requires expertise in Microsoft’s System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and a comprehensive understanding of vulnerability management processes. This role requires approximately 0.8 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) during the period spanning from May to December 2024, with the potential for extension based on project needs.

Background:
As part of our Cyber Security program, we are dedicated to enhancing overall cybersecurity posture. Central to this endeavor is the optimization of server patching procedures and the meticulous management of vulnerabilities.

Role Description and Objectives:
The ideal candidate will hold a senior-level position with extensive experience in SCCM deployment within large enterprises. They should possess proficiency in CM orchestration to streamline OS patching across intricate system configurations. Additionally, expertise in vulnerability assessment and the establishment of robust vulnerability management protocols within sizable organizations is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing SCCM orchestration setups for complex OS patching scenarios involving multiple servers, necessitating controlled shutdowns, reboots, and start-ups (e.g., database servers, application servers).
• Managing vulnerability processes, including the development of streamlined workflows for addressing and prioritizing vulnerabilities. Generating key performance indicator (KPI) reports on vulnerability management for management review. Familiarity with National Vulnerability Database (NVD), Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE), and Enterprise Security Posture and Splunk Security (EPSS) platforms is preferred.
