Senior Python developer CMake

Our client in automotive explores the next generation of personal, sustainable and safe cars. They are now in the making of a completely new platform to support fully electric, self-driving and connected cars. The heart of the car will be a Core Computer to control the vast amount of innovative functionality and systems in the car. This new design will be present in all future of our clients cars. This will be an important corner stone for the company to be competitive in the fast-paced transformation of the previous traditional car industry going all electric.

Team and role specifics
You will be a key developer and driver within our Tooling Team. We’re looking for a hands-on senior developer working in Python and CMAKE with our tooling important for the development of the SW running on the Core Computer. You will design, build, test and integrate SW, aligned with deliverables and deadlines. Our software will run on emulators as well as real hardware.

Our department at large, is working with many different areas from car feature development, SW architectural design, SW build tools & CI pipelines and system analyses. The teams are working in an agile way, with great independence, ownership and trust. We have a warm and relaxed atmosphere where you will be an important contributor to the team. Our software will run on emulators as well as hardware rigs and finally the car itself. You will build the next generation of cars.

You are a senior developer with a curious approach to new challenges. You dig into technical details as well as understand the bigger picture. You enjoy great teamwork, are proactive, creative, and willing to share your experience and knowledge. You are entrepreneurial and have the capacity to drive issues in cooperation with our stakeholders. You can also navigate your way through ambiguous and undefined problems.

Required qualifications:
• 7 years’ experience developing Software/Tools in a Linux environment.
• 4 years’ experience in Python.
• Experience using GIT/Gerrit.
• A degree in Software engineering.
• Agile SW development
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Meritorious qualifications:
• Bazel
• C++
• Experience from ISO26262 and ASIL compliant development.
• Experience from Automotive industry.
• Zuul and Jenkins
• ConfigHub/Artifactory
